Lucy Woodall, UK Creator Marketing Lead at YouTube

Lucy is a creative, data-driven professional with a wealth of experience working with a wide spectrum of creators and high profile brands, as well as overseeing end-to-end campaigns and media partnerships within tech, creative and sports industries.

In her current role as the UK Creator Marketing Lead at YouTube, she is responsible for leading on marketing initiatives to grow the UK creator ecosystem, enable platform equity and drive product adoption. Lucy is passionate about helping creators and partners to succeed on YouTube, and committed to ensuring the platform offers a vibrant and diverse community for creators and viewers alike. Lucy is actively working to enable platform equity through YouTube marketing by ensuring the brand supports and amplifies underrepresented communities including creators within Women of YouTube, #YouTubeBlack and the Black Voices Fund.

In 2023, Lucy relaunched Women of YouTube with marketing investment across a multi-channel strategy, securing a partnership and amplification from British Vogue, ads revenue buys from global brands like Rimmel, as well as an OOH takeover at the annual YouTube Festival with 750+ attendees; driving 4X growth in the community over a 6-month period.

Prior to her role at YouTube, Lucy’s past experience spans across Brand & Reputation marketing – managing media partnerships with globally recognised publications such as Conde Nast and The Economist – as well as Influencer Marketing and Social Media Management for brands including Google, Google Pixel and Adidas.

Outside of her day to day role, Lucy has a vested interest in gender equality, women’s rights and innovation in tech – she was a 2023 Delegate at the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women, and nominated as a Future Leader by the British Screen Forum, which is an ongoing programme throughout 2023-24.
